A frontline aspirant for the Lagos East Senatorial District, under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Bayo Osinowo has narrated his ordeal in a prison dungeon while fighting for the actualization of late M.K.O Abiola’s mandate.
Osinowo fondly called Pepperito in Lagos the political circles, made this disclosure while interacting with members of Lagos East Youth Alliance, who paid him a courtesy visit at his residence.
Narrating his life experience in captivity, he recalled that those defining moments have helped reshaped him to become a resilient, respectful and courageous person, but with the fear of God.
The senatorial aspirant assured the youth group that if elected, his representation in the red chamber will ensure a pursuit of better welfare for his people, especially those at the lower rung of the ladder.
“In my ongoing voyage in the hallowed chamber of the Lagos State House of Assembly, I have practically demonstrated the qualities needed to enhance a better representation; this solemn mission has never been compromised for a second.
“Hence, I see the prospect of a new elevation as an opportunity to give Lagos East a better representation, and as well as to helping the downtrodden, which I have always identified with as their mouthpiece in all my engagements.
In his remarks, the coordinator of the group, Comrade Bamidele Ahmed described the visit as “very historic and revealing,” describing the lawmaker as a leader with great foresight.
He stressed that the performance of the lawmaker over the years has been very unique, while affirming that his antecedents as a pro-democracy fighter have heralded the much propelling spirit guiding his exploits.
The group further disclosed that the visitation has helped cleared the grey areas some unscrupulous elements are latching on to discredit him.
” Before our coming here, we have been inundated with so many untruths about you, but having seen you in your regalia of wisdom, displaying your high degree of intellectuall capacity, we then wonder when being calm and collected is attributed to being frail and weak.
“As stated in the holy book, that the truth shall set one free, be rest assured, that your message to bring development to our district has received our total endorsement.
“In a matter of days, we will commence a bumper-to-bumper campaign, to market your aspiration in the party and afterwards at the doorstep of every electorate by applying an uncommon strategy that is only available at our disposal,” the Youth Alliance group said.
